Traditional and original acoustic music!

A set of three unhinged musicians in patterned waistcoats!
Triptych intertwine their voices and instruments in a unique way producing new slants on traditional songs and strong renditions of original material.  Their vocal style brings to life rich harmonies in both traditional and contemporary music.  They have played at folk clubs and festivals across the North of England, assembling a body of songs which display their wide-ranging talents.  They sing songs of love, loss and laughter.

Chris Maybury divides his time between writing plays, storytelling and playing with Triptych.  Within the band he provides guitar and bass vocals.  For further identification, he is the Rolf Harris look-alike on the right (or left, depending on which way you look at it).

Jenni Hyde, a history graduate, stays true to her calling by hanging around with relics like Chris and Chris.  She plays guitar, flute and piccolo (the ultimate way to empty a pub at last orders), but usually sings.  She is the odd one out by being small and female.

Chris Hyde, or Nick (confusing, isn't it?) is a music teacher, singer, songwriter and sometime mandolinist.  He provides vocal harmonies and mandolin counter-melodies, as well as original compositions and arrangements for the band to perform.
